Friday

The last hurrah, the last day to work until Monday, Friday is here. The old song lyric of "Everybody's working for the weekend" is all to true for all too many. The weekend where it is time to throw off inhibitions and live life like there is no tomorrow. Some will take this wrong and live like there is no tomorrow and hurt others along the way. They will lie, cheat, steal, drink, carouse, do drugs, hurt others, walking on the "little man" to get to where he wants to be.

But think about living for the weekend like this. What if we lived for the weekend so we could live like there is no tomorrow? Like think how you would live this weekend if it was the last one that you were to have, ever? How would you live it? Parties? Probably to some degree you would, but the atmosphere would be different. You would probably have that special friend, family member that you have been mad at for a long long time there so you could say I'm sorry. Maybe you would have a parent there just so you could be close to them.

What would you do? Surely you wouldn't sit and think about all the missed opportunities in your life, those are already gone and are behind you and you can't get those back. Move forward, live your life to the fullest! Go for it.

You know that we are to live our lives to the max for God anyway, so don't hold back. The idea that you are here for you is really egocentric anyway, because even in this universe it's not about you, it's about God. Jesus said this in John 10:10 'The thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy. I came that you may have life and have it abundantly!" Abundantly is not a word that we use often so let's change it to the full, or overflowing, or to the Maximum that you can to the second power! Now that's life!

So this weekend, go for it! Live for God full out. Make a difference in the lives of others. Make a stand for the little guy. Stand in the gap for someone. Be a man or woman of character and integrity. Let's face it, we are all headed for a tombstone anyway on this earth and how we live our lives is what will determine what is put on it when we die.

Live it!
