Cats and Weather!

Over the last few days in central Kentucky I have watched with excitement as everyone in the state has been watching with great anticipation for a couple of reasons. Those two reasons were the Kentucky Wildcats becoming number 1 in the national ratings. The other reason to to watch has been the weather. People have been crazy watching and waiting to see what the weather is going to do.

Everyone has an opinion about their beloved teams. Everyone has something to say about the team, their play, and second guess every decision made on the court. People are worried, concerned, or think about the weather and all that should be done or said about plans due to the weather.

Now here's the rub. We seem to spend more time concerning sports, games, outcomes, stats and the weather than we do concerning our walk with Christ. Let's face it, it's fun to talk about games and the weather but to spend time working on our walk, our faith, scripture, or journey with Jesus Christ is work. We are a society that spends more time doing the easy things than we the hard work.

I guess what I am saying is this; I want to do the hard work of my faith over Cats and Weather.
